Quick Tip

Bargain Bins – if you don’t already shop the clearance items at your local grocery store, you should start. There are lots of items that are close to the “best by” date stamped from the manufacturer but are still edible and nutritional. There’s no magic date that foods go bad. Skip the cans with dents at the seals but if there’s a dent in the side, you can absolutely grab those for some cheaper foods for your family. Many items we prep like cereal, jams, salad dressings and more last much longer than the date. Save money there and you can spend it elsewhere. Now, go grab some closeouts!
